Plague完成

Due to a perceived general apathy and lack of interest I’ve decided to just throw the rest of the project up here. My plan was to build momentum and enthusiasm for this comic by releasing it a page at a time, but this has obviously failed. (I don’t know why? Jason Brubaker makes it look so easy) Anyway, I’m eternally grateful for the few kind e-mails I did get about this project (thank you so much and I hope you enjoy the ending). But now, It’s literally time to go back to the drawing board…

…and speaking of going back to the drawing board, I’ve decided to go back to my original blog to chronicle my latest project. For more on that please visit: nihonniiru.blogspot.com
「他のプロジェクト」というと元のブログに戻って、今新しく作っている漫画について、語ろうとしました。詳しいことは、こちらですので、nihonniiru.blogspot.com に行って見てくださいね。

  1. I'm not sure whether it's appropriate for to say this, but either I'm doing something wrong or there is no dialogue in the comic and people tend to be very visual but they also like to have something to read so they don't have to think too much about what's going on in the story.

The comic and the style look fantastic anyway.

I hope you are having a great time in Japan. :)

  2. Ha! Don't worry, you're not doing anything wrong. I purposely left the dialogue out. I like making people work a little bit...

(... but this is could also be why it didn't catch on ね) ;)

    Thanks for commenting.

  3. You should try the two versions the one with dialogue and the one without it, and see which one works better. The comic art and the style are really good and I'm actually curious about the comic and the story.

I hope you don't mind my comment.

    Best of luck :)

  4. hey, i just ran across this in issuu - it was on the "related items" bar next to my work =P. awesome work man!!

I love it wordless actually, it makes it feel so poetic.. you are very interested in Japanese cinema I see, and I am really thrilled to see it influence your work. The aspect-to-aspect (as scott McCloud dubs it) transition is well done, as are the cuts between characters and actions, time and space. And I love the little moment at the end, sniffing a flower as if all violence never happened, and it was just another peaceful day - and yet he is still lucky enough to survive to smell this flower.

    great work!!!
